Laura Torlaschi is a Queens-based essayist previously published in The New York Times’ Tiny Love Stories, Roxane Gay’s The Audacity, City Limits, and Petit Mort. Drawing on her experience as the queer, disabled daughter of Argentinian immigrants, she explores class, sex work, gender, and disability. In 2024, she was awarded a Periplus Collective fellowship. She is currently in an interdisciplinary bachelor’s program studying Gender Studies, Labor, and Public Policy.
